I was a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Department at University of California, Berkeley from 2013 to 2018. During my Ph.D. studies, I worked on passphrase verification and speech search, under supervision of Prof. Morgan and Dr. Wegmann in ICSI. My Ph.D. dissertation is on combining speech and speaker recognition using joint modeling.
Prior to enroll into UC Berkeley, I was mentored by Principal Researcher Frank Seide in Speech Group of Microsoft Research Asia, focusing on CD-DNN-HMM based Speech Recognition System. My work includes sequence-discriminative training and speaker adaptation.
