Berkeley Dojo

Introduction

The San Francisco - Berkeley Dojos welcome all who are interested in the serious study of Shotokan Karate. We are fortunate to have Daniel Chemla, godan, instructing us. He is ably assisted by many seniors including yodan Marty Cullenward and sandans Michael Merlander, Domingo Alvarez, Jane Uyeda, Spergon Hunt, Aja Fasah and Leo Rivers. Our dojos are composed of about 80 people (about 30 in the SF area, 50 in the East Bay area), many of whom have been practicing for over 20 years.

We also join other Bay Area and Northern California dojos for special events such as grading, tournaments and visits by Mr. Ohshima.

We encourage you to contact us and visit our practices for more information. We offer practices at all levels of experience.
