This is what happens when you think about language too much. Or don’t sleep enough.

- “The hospital is quite complicated, relying garagely on previous work.” -NC (5/04), written while not fully conscious. Substitute ‘whole picture’ and ‘largely’ for more sensical sentence, and note that both ‘hospital’ and ‘garage’ had been primed earlier that day.
An amazing performance by Yo-Yo Ma and his Silk Road Ensemble (4/2002) inspired groupie behavior by the House of Mirth & co. Sadly, we did not get to speak to him in person, but we have devised some useful dialogue for our next opportunity, especially if his mother is there. (Note use of Mandarin ‘ma’ particle for tag questions.)
We are reasonably sure someone has thought of these before, but we’d still love the chance to ask.
