Under Construction

A Prototype Personal Dictation System

Meeting Recorder is a very ambitious project. It requires collection of a meeting corpus, production of a new chip, development of robust speech recognition, extensions to information retrieval, and many other difficult demands.

To help form some of the ideas regarding the user interface for correction and annotation of speech on a handheld, as well as to develop infrastructure, Adam Janin produced a prototype personal dictation system for a class project in User Interfaces (CS260 at UC Berkeley).
