Finally, -c:open reaches its maximum activation (still somewhat less
than the absolute maximum possible value, however, because of a slight
loss of activation through each level of inference). The node +c:open
has now completely turned off. The contradiction (**) node never
turned on because the activation of +c:open and -c:open each have to
be above a certain threshold for the contradiction node to turn on,
and this threshold was not reached in this example.
