IEEE 1997 Workshop on Applications of Signal Processing to Audio and Acoustics

Mohonk Mountain House
New Paltz, New York
October 19-22, 1997

The objective of the two-and-a-half day workshop is to provide an informal environment for the discussion of problems in audio and acoustics and of the signal processing techniques applied to these problems. Technical sessions are scheduled in the morning and before and after dinner; the afternoons have been left free for outdoor activities or informal meetings among the workshop participants.

There is now a web page for the 1999 Mohonk Audio Workshop (WASPAA'99) which will be chaired by Prof. Matti Karjalainen of the Helsinki University of Technology.
Some of the committee members jotted down notes related to the workshop - mainly technical issues to do with electronic submissions. You can find them under WASPAA'97 Hints & Tips.
The workshop is now over, but this page will remain visible. If you are interested in purchasing the paper version of the proceedings (60 papers, 278 pages), you can get it from the IEEE. Contact their Customer Service Department at 1-800-678-IEEE and quote the product number TH8278 (WASPAA'97).

This workshop has been held every second year since 1989. The web site for the 1995 workshop is here.
