Time Passing Quietly

The ghost town of Bodie, California is one of our favorite places. It
is preserved in a state of "arrested decay" as the park service calls
it. Visiting in November, Bodie still plainly conveys the feelings of
cold and isolation which its inhabitants must have felt. This image,
my best from Bodie, shows the remains of the bank -- most other
buildings are wooden.
