Graham Freeman

Graham Freeman is the IT Manager at the International Computer Science Institute in Berkeley, California. Mr. Freeman has more than two decades of IT and information security experience in mission-driven work, with a particular focus on education and renewable energy.

His most recent roles include Global Security & Infrastructure Manager at OpenSolar, an international solar energy software company, Staff Cloud Security Engineer at Sunrun, the largest residential solar installer in the United States, and cloud security practice leadership at the University of California at Santa Cruz. Graham also has an entrepreneurial background, having started and managed multiple cooperative enterprises, including Eupraxis, a tech worker co-op later acquired by a solar energy software company, and an international colocation services purchasing and knowledge-sharing cooperative.

He has participated in conferences including USENIX, Defcon, BSides, the Skoll World Forum, and the United Nations Summit on the Information Society. He has presented at UC Tech (then known as UCCSC), at a Stanford University conference on democratizing technologies, and at a United Nations conference on access to knowledge. Graham has also helped to run conferences related to coworking, renewable energy, and the nuances of technological advancement in modern society.
